Our Rolleston salon proudly prioritises sustainability: boasting a remarkable 91% commitment to natural and organic practices. Our skilled team of stylists – deeply attuned to eco-friendly principles – provides an extensive array of services, encompassing colouring, styling, and barbering.
EARTH FRIENDLY PRODUCTS & PROCESSES
All of our products are natural, organic and sustainable, and most are vegan. We prioritise our clients’ health and wellbeing without compromising on quality. We use paper in the salon as an alternative to tin foil, which we wash and reuse to reduce our impact on landfill.
We collect hair, which is upcycled and used as a sustainable material. We’re proud to offer refills for some retail products like shampoo and conditioner. Bring in your clean empty bottle for refilling to receive a green discount on your product!
HOW WE REDUCE WASTE
We recycle all glass, and as many plastics as we can, and we are very conscious of keeping our plastic consumption to a minimum. We recycle our cardboard through Reclaim Christchurch. They are 100% New Zealand and 0% Landfill.
ECO ENERGY & SUSTAINABLE WATER PRACTICES
We are proud to use Meridian energy as our provider. Meridian is one of New Zealand’s leading power companies, generating power from only 100% renewable sources. At the basin we use eco heads to minimize water usage. This includes a special filtration system that ionizes the water and removes sediment – leaving the hair cleaner and healthier.
HAIR DONATION
Pure Collective is proud to donate non coloured or chemically treated hair ponytails (with a minimum of 36cm) to charitable organisations and local wig-makers where they can become wigs for those suffering from medically induced hair-loss conditions such as alopecia and cancer.
